I’m beat. But I couldn’t let the day go by without a quick recap of FNCE so far from my viewpoint. So, here it goes… I am lucky enough to be part of an amazing group of entrepreneurs. We have our own nutrition practice group called NE (nutrition entrepreneurs). Last year, I was elected to serve as “member services” elect. Basically, that’s volunteering my time to make sure NE has programs and services members value for their business success. I spent most of my day in the board meeting. This was a great chance to connect with the other board members and collaborate on projects. I’m happy to say I think I contributed a few good ideas. I’m most proud of our strategy for getting sponsors for next year’s NE networking event (it’s in California so suffice it to say, if you’re in California agriculture or wine, you’ll be hearing from me really soon!) Participating in the board meeting made me extra grateful for all the passionate brains we have working to help empower dietitians to succeed. I was so happy to see a few new NE members pop in to the board meeting. A great way to get to know your field is just by showing up (hint, hint students and interns).
After a short break (enough time for a costume change and make up touch up), I headed over to the Fish Pier for the NE Networking reception. What an event! The highlight for me was meeting so many Twitter peeps
