I’ve tested this summer’s update on Adidas Adistar Ride 2:
The upper meshAdistar Ride 2 have ForMotion and plush in forefoot, which makes the stride smoother than in the first Adistar Ride. The upper mesh is different in the women’s model versus the men’s. The women’s model is designed with Women Upper Specific with more space and no overlays in the bunion area to ensure maximum comfort. The fitting is snug. You can feel a difference from the former edition. Less mesh in forefoot makes a tighter feeling and a better touch with the shoe.
Midsole and the strideadiPRENE+ in midfoot feels softer than in the first edition of Adistar Ride. I also think that the Formotion in the heel works really well. The special heel makes the stride smoother and I think the shoes feels lighter with this technology.
Do I like it? – Yes I like it a lot. The flex groves are deeper and that makes the shoes softer, but that also make a better feeling. I never thought of the shoes a “heavy” or too stiff like some of the well cushioned models tend to be. The cushioning feels soft. But I don’t think they’re too soft. But they are less stable than the first edition. Still, that doesn’t make the Ride 2 a worse version. Rather the opposite, I think.
If you are looking for a well cushioned running shoe with some extra bounce, try the Adidas Adistar Ride 2!
Or have you tried it already?
