The Atlanta Dream signed Assistant Coach Fred Williams to a contract extension through 2013.
“Fred has been a tremendous asset to our franchise since the start,” said Atlanta Dream Head Coach and General Manager Marynell Meadors in a statement. “His coaching experience in combination with his expertise in scouting and player development has made him extremely valuable to our organization. I look forward to continuing to work together as we build on our team’s success.”
Williams joined the Dream in 2008. In four seasons in Atlanta, he helped the team to three postseason appearances and back-to-back Eastern Conference championships.
