Fallon Fox has been devastating in her first 2 fights, finishing both her opponents in the opening stanza. Training out of Chicago, Fox has a great team behind her, including InvictaFC vet Marcia Allen and XFC’s Pearl Gonzales. The tournament will bring Fox to the next level and to the main stream of WMMA.
Wombat Sports: You have had a spectacular career so far with all first round stoppages. What would winning this tournament mean to you?
Fallon Fox: This tournament would mean visible solidification as a viable contender in Pro WMMA in general. I’d like to get more fans and more respect for what I do. I believe this tournament will give me that.
Wombat: Chicago seems to be a new hot bed for WMMA talent. How has it been training there, and have you had access to female training partners?
Fox: Yes, Chicago has been producing come really good talent in WMMA. I’ve seen and competed with some of the other talents over the years. We’ve watched each other get better, at tournaments and fights. Now some of us are Pro. And there are still some who nobody even knows. More women are training hard to get on the scene in Chicagoland, and we are going to grind out more.
Recently I have been able to train with a few pro female MMA fighters. There’s Pearl Gonzalez who I get to spar with every once in a while. She is lighter than me. But, hella fast! Really keeps me on my toes, and man can she take a punch and keep coming! I’d like the world to know that Pearl Gonzalez is Legit! Also, there is Marciea Allen, a really strong competitor. Training with her helps me get used to dealing with another female fighter who is also strong. Then there is Tina Gomez an upcoming striker who is going to be a future hit I believe. Other than that there are no other females who I am working with at the moment that are MMA oriented. The rest are males who give me a good ass kicking day after day getting me ready for my fight. I am ALWAYS on the lookout for good female MMA partners to train with. So, if you have skill, you are female, and you want to work, come to Midwest Training Center and we can take on the world!
W.S.: What are you expecting from your opponent?
F.F.: Waiting on the word on who I will be fighting in the first bracket of the CFA tournament.
W.S.: CFA had you out to their last event to promote the tournament. How has it been to work with them?
F.F.: I haven’t been out to work with the CFA yet. This will be my first time working with them. I hope and anticipate a very good experience.
W.S.: Anything you’d like to add/thank?
F.F.: I’d like to thank both my present and future fans, my MTC family, my sponsor Tussle fight gear, my manager Brett Atchley, and Championship Fighting Alliance for giving me this opportunity to fight for them!
Also, Id like to take this opportunity to tell everyone to check out Pearl Gonzalez fight on XFC this Friday. She is going to Rock!
