Who? The Midshipmen of Navy.
What? Well, at least that’s what they’re going to be when they’re done. Bill the Goat harks back to an earlier era of naval history.
Where? Annapolis, Maryland, the capital of Maryland.
When? March 10th, on the campus of the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
Why? They won the Patriot League tournament.
How? 22 points from Jade Geif and a 13-point, six-rebound, five-steal performance from Alix Membreno led Navy to the 57-48 win over Holy Cross.
Surprise? Mostly. Technically, the game chalked, but Navy was the third seed, taking out Lehigh in the semis, while fourth-seeded Holy Cross knocked out regular-season champ American.

Extra, Extra! The Annapolis Capital.
Sophomore forward Jade Geif is the centerpiece of this team, averaging 11 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Sophomore Audrey Bauer, whose older sister will likely be appearing on a Dance Card, and sophomore guard Kara Pollinger are threats from deep. Free throw shooting could kill this team if it has the opportunity.
