When she’s not busy racing cars, Danica Patrick has proven to be a well-dressed red carpet fixture. Her ability to compete in a male-dominated sport is rivaled by her interest in fashion. As she recently told WWD: “There are two pretty different sides to me. I love to get clothes from stylists and get my hair and makeup done. I really enjoy both parts and I’m lucky to be able to drive race cares and still get made up. It’s a win-win.”
Danica appeals to a broad demographic and the fact that she can easily shift from hardcore competitor to top model and racing’s “pin-up” girl has made her a target for a wide range of endorsers. Among them is Swiss watchmaker, Tissot. Patrick has been a Tissot brand ambassador since 2005. The latest timepiece celebrating the racing star is the limited edition “Ladies White Quartz Classic Watch.” Just like Danica, it combines both sporty and feminine characteristics. The $895 wristwatch features her lucky number “7? in orange, as well as twenty top Wesselton diamonds surrounding the mother-of-pearl dial. Check it out:
Tissot is just one of the accessory-related endorsement deals for Patrick, who also works with William Rast sunglasses. She has yet to secure a fashion sponsor despite receiving several offers. But like so many other professional athletes, male and female, fashion design is likely to become a part of her future.
“I would like to either do a joint line with a designer, or -my favorite idea – do my own line,” she told
