You’ve probably heard me brag about Ellie Krieger, a fellow dietitian, many times on Balanced Health and Nutrition due to the fact that she is simply amazing! She has wonderful cookbooks, which I recommend to my clients, Her fantastic cooking show, Healthy Appetite, will now be on the Cooking Channel as of June 1st. The Cooking Channel provides food lovers with a ‘richer variety of food information and cooking styles…diving deeper into cooking instruction and food information’ and Healthy Appetite is sure to fit in perfectly. Ellie’sshow provides viewers with recipes to create healthy dishes for real people and tips for staying healthy while at work, eating out, or on vacation.
Ellie is not only an R.D., and T.V. show hostess, but also a New York Times best-selling author. Her titles include ‘Small Changes Big Results’, ‘The Food You Crave: Luscious Recipes for a Healthy Life’, and ‘So Easy: Luscious Healthy Recipes for Every meal of the Week’. ‘So Easy’ was recently tapped to be featured in the New York Times’ Fall Cookbook Roundup, which features the top ten cookbooks of the fall. If you’re looking for a new cookbook, Ellie’s books would be a great pick up to get you on track for summer. My clients love her books. I use them as a gateway to the kitchen and a tool for stepping away from dieting and poor tasting food. You don’t have to cook every day, but if you could cook a few days a week, you will notice the difference in your energy levels, satisfaction with eating, and attitude about living healthy!
