After a hard fought season, ten college football teams have secured spots in BCS Bowl Games. In honor of their achievements, a special collection has been created to allow fans to celebrate their team’s success. ESPN consumer products announced the launch of ESPN Bowl Championship Apparel by adidas, a line of clothing and headwear for men and women with a “Bowl Bound” theme. Tees, hoodies and hats are among the offered items, which feature school colors and logos as well as each team’s designated bowl logo.
“With the recent announcement of the Bowl Championship Series participants, ESPN and adidas want to give fans a new and stylish way to represent their team,” says Matt Novoselsky, Licensing Director ESPN Consumer Products. “It’s an honor for a college football program to be chosen as part of the BCS, and so the ESPN Bowl Championship Apparel by adidas line will be a unique way for college football fans to celebrate their team’s achievement.”
Commemorative apparel for the following teams is included in the collection, in honor of these BCS 2012 bowl pairings:
- Rose Bowl presented by VIZIO: Oregon vs. Wisconsin
- Tostitos Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma State vs. Stanford
- Allstate Sugar Bowl: Michigan vs. Virginia Tech
- Discover Orange Bowl: Clemson vs. West Virginia
- Allstate BCS National Championship Game: Alabama vs. LSU
