GRO is inviting all the girls of NYC and around to come skate at this great event. All girls, all ages and all abilities are encouraged to attend. New to skateboarding? Here is your chance to learn more about it and learn to skate. Already a skater? Come take part in fun all girls sessions or show your skills in a skate contest.

Open Skate times are open to both girls and guys to skate the skateboarding area and obstacles. Instruction will be available during Open Skate times for girls just learning to skateboard.
Girls Skate Workshops are devoted entirely to the ladies. The entire skateboarding area is girls only during the workshops. Girls of all abilities can take part in the workshops. From the first day on the board to learning more advanced tricks, the Girls Skate Workshops are an opportunity to progress skateboarding skills with other girls.
Best Trick Contests (one for girls only and one open to everyone) are a 30 minute jam session on a single obstacle for skaters to try to land the best trick possible. At the end of the jam time, a winner will be selected and receive some rad product and $50 cold, hard cash!
Game of S.K.A.T.E Contests will be held, one girls only and one open to everyone. The winner of each of the two Game of S.K.A.T.E contests will receive both product and $50 cold, hard cash!
All participation in skateboarding, open sessions, contests, workshops or presence in the skateboarding area is done at your own risk! Girls Riders Organization, GRO NYC, Tomboi, Brooklyn Bazaar, Black Girls Rock and all other event affiliates are not responsible for any injuries or accidents that take place at the event, during the event or in any way associated with the Brooklyn Bazaar.
