Strikeforce is breaking ground once again as a third female match has been to their upcoming Aug. 18 card in San Diego.
The #1 Unified ranked featherweight Hiroko Yamanaka will take on Germaine de Randamie on the Strikeforce: Rosuey vs. Kaufman card. MMA Junkie broke the news Friday morning.
Yamanaka (12-1-1) was on a seven fight win streak when she faced former Strikeforce featherweight champ Cyborg Santos this past January.
Although Yaminaka was Koed by Santos, the match was deemed a no-contest after Santos tested positive for steroids.
De Randamie (2-2) is coming off a decision loss to Julia Budd at Strikeforce in June 2011.
The match will be a part of the preliminary card, which will air on ShoExtreme. The main card with feature the title match between bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey and Sarah Kaufman; plus #3 Unified bantamweight Miesha Tate will take on #10 Julie Kedzie. The main card will air on Showtime.
