More news this past week as InvictaFC announces two new faces to their team.
Strikeforce commentator Mauro Ranallo has been named one of the voices who will break down the action; while former UFC Ring girl Natasha Wicks will be holding the cards for the inaugural event, which will air live and free on InvictaFC.com. Fighters.com broke the news this past weekend.
Ranallo is very familiar with the women’s division of MMA through Strikeforce and his MMA Show podcast on the Score. With over a decade of commentary in MMA, he is an encylopedia of knowledge when it comes to fighters.
Natasha Wicks was a ring girl for the UFC in 2009, and has since been a staple of the MMA community.
“Natasha is an amazing person,” Knapp stated to Fighters.com. “I’ve always liked her. She’s just that type of person the fans really like. I’ve brought her in on HDNet to do the Bazzie awards. I think she’s very athletic, she understands the sport and is interested in the equality for women, so I think she’s a perfect fit for us too.”
The rest of the broadcast team will be announced in the next few weeks. InvictaFC 1 will emanate from Kansas City, MO on Apr. 28.
