Moscow Kremlin Cup: Maria Kirilenko upsets Agnieszka Radwanska

Maria Kirilenko upset Agnieszka Radwanska 6-3, 6-3 in the first round of the Kremlin Cup.

After this loss, Radwanska has no chances to qualy for the WTA Championships, only Jelena Jankovic and Vera Zvonareva remain in contention for the last spot in Doha.

Kirilenko opened with a break and saved four break points in the eighth game. Radwanska then dropped serve again to lose the first set, and called for a trainer afterward to treat her right thigh.

Kirilenko broke decisively in the second game of the second set. She saved a break point in the seventh game before securing her first win in five appearances at her hometown tournament.
