Justine Henin to comeback at the Brisbane International 2010?
Justine Henin wants to follow Kim Clijsters steps and hopes to make her comeback at the Brisbane International.
Henin announced last month that she was returning to the WTA Tour competition and wanted to play at the 2010 Australian Open.
Carlos Rodriguez, her coach, commented that Henin was negotiating with organizers in Brisbane and Auckland as her preparation for the first Grand Slams of the 2010 season.
After that, Brisbane organizers announced the drawcards for the event that included Ana Ivanovic and Kim Clijsters.
To be able to play in Brisbane, Henin would need a wild card and she has tons of chances to receive one.
“It would take it to a new level,” tournament director Steve Ayles said. “To have the two comeback queens from Belgium, it would be fantastic.”
