The Olympic gold medalist has recently stepped up her style game, making waves at industry events. Together with Woods, she attended the Met Gala as a guest of Vogue. She was outfitted by designer, Cynthia Rowley, for the CFDA Fashion Awards.

Vonn has also scored high-praise from some of fashion’s top players. After working with Vonn, Vogue’s contributing fashion editor, Sarah Moonves (who styled the shoot), as well as Rowley, complimented her style. According to the New York Post:
“She looked just as comfortable in Manolos as she does when she was about to ski. It was incredible to watch,” said Moonves.
“She really does like fashion and loves to shop,” says Vogue’s Moonves about Vonn and her attitude toward clothes on the photo shoot. “She wanted to look chic and sophisticated and knew what looked good on her body. As a fashion editor, it was exciting to see this athlete taking an interest in clothes.”
Her feeling toward fashion “is very natural and cool,” adds Rowley, who created a sleeveless floor-length gown with a plunging neckline for Vonn’s appearance at the CFDA awards.
To accompany the Vogue piece, Vonn took part in a fashion spread shot by famed photographer, Annie Leibovitz. One of the images features a couture-clad Vonn in a skiing position, on a hotel coffee table. Check out the photos below:
