1st-team All-SEC guard Danielle Ballard won’t be returning to the LSU program, according to a report in The Daily Reveille.
The vacillating alliance between LSU, and talented guard Danielle Ballard, seems to have finally come to a close. Ballard, who was 1st-team All-SEC last year as junior, won’t be returning for her last season, according to Morgan Prewitt of The Daily Reveille.
Here is a portion of the report:
“We appreciate all that Danielle has done for our program during her time at LSU,” said LSU coach Nikki Caldwell said in a news release. “We wish her nothing but the best and success in her future endeavors.”
And while Ballard was a great talent, she was very mercurial at times, and it seemed like there was a disconnect between her and the Tigers coaching staff. Before the 2014-15 season began, she was suspended for 14 games for violation of team rules.
Ballard averaged 14.5 points and 7.2 rebounds as a junior.
