Michelle Larcher de Brito splits with Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy
It has been reported that Michelle Larcher de Brito, who developed her tennis game at the Nick Bollettieri tennis academy, will now be training at the Mouratoglou academy in France.
Larcher de Brito signed a three-year contract with with the Academy Mouratoglou “which allows her to have access to a range of professionals who can contribute decisively to the evolution of her game”, her father and coach , Antonio Larcher de Brito, said.
“The club gives us a budget that enables us to hire some people. At the U.S. Open Michelle will have a training partner and eventually will have a physical trainer to work exclusively with her,” he explained. “Then in November or December, we will consult reputable coaches, usually very expensive to improve movements or certain aspects of the game.”
Michelle will remain based in Florida with her family, but dxuring the clay, before Roland Garros, she can spend some time in Paris and Portugal.
“We live in the United States but will go to France to train. And we go to Portugal. Do not forget our country, because we have family there. But it was unfortunate that no Portuguese company wanted to make this bet …”, he lamented.
Michelle Larcher de Brito follows teen phenoms Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Grigor Dmitrov who are also based at this academy.
