ESPN is keeping up with their tradition of having a female MMA fighter in their annual “Body Issue.” This time, it will be Miesha Tate.
Three female fighters have graced the magazine, including Gina Carano, Cris “Cyborg” Justino, and UFC champ Ronda Rousey. Rousey was the only one who make the cover.
The provocative issue shows athletes in their natural form and is meant to showcase the various bodies of athletes in artistic form.
Tate is in the middle of coaching “The Ultimate Fighter,” against Rousey, which will air on Fox Sports 1 this fall.
The “ESPN: the Body Issue” will hit newsstands July 12.
Other female athletes to be featured in the issue include:
- Swin Cash, WNBA
- Agnieszka Radwanska, tennis
- Courtney Force, NHRA/drag racing
- Kerri Walsh-Jennings, beach volleyball
- Carly Booth, golf
- Marlen Esparza, boxing
