Jessamyn Duke can now state she is still undefeated.
The Missouri State Athletic Commission has changed her loss to a “No-contest” after a controversial knee landed on her during her match with Miriam Nakamoto at April’s InvictaFC event in Kansas City. Originally a KO loss for Duke, a late knee by Nakamoto to Duke while she was a grounded opponent sparked some controversy as the ref was late to call it. Many thought that Nakamoto had incapacitated her from the first knee and that the second knee was irrelevant.
Duke’s new record is now 2-0 with 1 no contest.
