MMA Super Heroes Announces Strawweight Grand Prix

mma super heroes 3 posterAfter introducing a strawweight division last year,  Brazil’s MMA Super Heroes is ready to crown a tournament champion.

The promotion has announced an one night 115 grand prix for March 30 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In the main event of the card, Kalinda Faria will take on Laura Balin in a non-tournament strawweight bout. Also on the card in the co-main event is a non-tournament bout between InvictaFC signee Herica Tiburcio and Aline Sattelmayer.

In two semi-final bouts in the grand prix, Bruna Wing (0-1) will take on Renata Baldan (pro debut) and Michele Angelo (1-1) will face Roberta Marreta (0-2). Luciana Treze battles Graziele Riccota in a reserve bout. The finals will happen the same night and will be featured bout on the card.

Faria (12-3) is on an eight fight win streak, finishing her last six. She will be making her debut at 115 for the fight against Argentina’s Laura Balin (4-1)  who has yet to be finished. She is looking to recover after a decision loss to Vanessa Guimaraes.

Herica Tiburcio (7-2) is coming off back to back armbar wins and was recently signed to Invicta for their strawweight division. Aline Sattelmayer (5-4) is looking to make it three in a row coming off decision wins over Bruna Matos and Vanessa Guimaraes.

The event is expected to be streamed and we will have more info as it becomes available.
