Phoenix is continuing to make moves this offseason.
The Phoenix Mercury announced that they signed Noelle Quinn to a contract Thursday. Quinn previously played for the Seattle Storm (2013-14); Washington Mystics (2012); Los Angeles Sparks (2009-2011); and Minnesota Lynx (2007-2008).
In Phoenix, Quinn will be expected to provide some additional depth on the wing. She historically was a strong three point shooter when she averaged at least 39% of her shots from deep from 2010 to 2012. However, Quinn has also failed to make even 30% of her threes during each of her last two seasons, which also happens to be the time when the WNBA moved the three point line back to near-NBA length.
Along with the signing of Monique Currie earlier Thursday, it’s now safe to say the Mercury have plenty of depth at the small forward position along with DeWanna Bonner who is a cored player.
