With group play done, the semi final matches for the CONCACAF Women’s World Cup qualifying tournament have been set. The USA won Group B with 9 points after defeating Costa Rica 4-0 on goals from Abby Wambach in the 32nd minute, Lauren Cheney in the 69th minute, Yael Averbuch in the 73rd minute, and Alex Morgan in the 81st minute. Haiti finished in 3rd place after managing the only win of the tournament against Guatemala, who finished in 4th place. Adeline Saintilmond scored the lone goal of that match-up in the 21st minute.
The next day, Group A concluded the first round of the tournament with a 4-1 win for Trinidad and Tobago over Guyana. Goals were scored by Kennya Cordner in the 11th minute, Rhea Belgarve in the 25th, Candace Edwards in the 49th, Dernell Mascall in the 65th, and Miriam El-Masri scored the only goal for Guyana in the 60th minute. Guyana ended the tournament in 4th place.
