Serena and Venus Williams investing in ownership stake in the Miami Dolphins football team
Serena Williams and her sister Venus Williams are close to confirming an ownership stake in the Miami Dolphins football team.
Reports indicate that an agreement between Serena and Venus Williams and the team ownership is not yet final but the confirmation is expected for Tuesday.
“There’s always so many opportunities out there, and Venus and I are always trying to expand our brand and do the best that we can do, and if an opportunity presents itself, we would love to see where it can take us,” Serena Williams said. “Who knows what’s going to happen, but hopefully we’ll be able to hopefully continue to expand our brand.”
Venus and Serena Williams will not be the only celebrities to own a piece of the Miami Dolphins if they finally seal the deal.
Gloria and Emilio Estefan along with Marc Anthony recently invested in the team.
Jimmy Buffett has been asked to also become a minority owner but has not yet accepted. Ross bought the team in January.
