October and the beginning of training for next season became a troublesome time with the trip and fall in the stairs, followed by a period of illness. Now I’m back in a good rhythm and running is fine. It’s just that I would like and was hoping that I would be on a higher level than what I am. I’m thinking of my threshold level and some of the strength training I’m doing.
So, this morning I went for a run and met up with my coach in the gym. Deep squats were on the schedule… I didn’t have any weights on, just the bar, and I’m already sore. Not too bad though:)
I’m excited that my coach is such a open minded person and keep all of us in the group individual runners and analyzes our needs from week to week. I hope this extra strength program twice a week will help on my running strength.
Here I am then – on the couch with my CEP compression tights on. I need to get recovered as soon as possible!
