Marta Nery is 15 years old and she is the 2009 Portuguese National Champion. Most recently she competed at the 1st Baam Slam (7/8 February), a European Skate Contest with a prize money of 3000 Euros, attended by both foreign skaters and the best national skaters.
The championship was held at the Lisbon International Fair and during Saturday and Sunday the skaters had to pass two rounds to reach the final. Marta was the only female participant and passed the first round and achieved a brilliant 24th place in the final ranking. Marta threw down a giant ollie over the sofa, flip up the big eye and a board slide on the park bench.
She also won 3 out of the 4 stages on the open female street championship in 2009.
Her results on two international participations were:
– 3rd place on the Barcelona Extreme Movistar female street competition.
– 5th place on the European Skateboarding Championship.
Marta Nery last participation was on the National Skate Circuit Last Stage. She have competed with the boys on the initiate category and she qualified on 17th place out of 70 participants on this category. There was 4 stages and Marta participated on 3. On the end she got a 13th place out of 157 participants. Here is the link to the video:
