Stanford made an unscheduled stop its long trip to Virginia Wednesday, landing in Denver to take care of some mechanical difficulties. Then it was on to Chicago and a run for the next gate. It was long enough for coach Tara VanDerveer to give a quick update about the health of her team headed into Friday’s Old Dominion game. Right now, the Cardinal have 10 healthy players. But both Joslyn Tinkle (foot) and Michelle Harrison (back) are on the trip and considered “questionable”. “Everyone is excited, we have been practicing well,” VanDerveer said. “This doesn’t feel like a long trip compared to Italy.”
And then off Stanford went on the next leg of its journey.
