Storm F Camille Little will officially play overseas this offseason, inking a deal with Ramat Hasharon in Israel. The squad is the defending champions of the Israeli league.
Little, who’s pictured far right by Getty Images, will suit up with C Chante Black (Tulsa) and G Alexis Hornbuckle (Minnesota).
“I’m looking forward to playing with Ramat Hasharon and having the possibility of winning back to back titles in the WNBA and Israel,” said Little, who won her first title with Seattle on Sept. 16.
Little departs Oct. 4 for Israel. But she may return in December for a special ceremony at North Carolina, where her No. 20 jersey is expected to be retired. A source familiar with the procedure said plans aren’t finalized, but the honor could take place Dec. 28, during a break for play in Israel.
A four-time all-ACC selection, Little accumulated more than 1,700 points, 800 rebounds, 250 assists and 250 steals during her collegiate career. As a senior, the 6 foot 2 post averaged 13.7 points and 5.9 rebounds along with totaling 99 steals to help guide the Tar Heels to the NCCA Final Four.
