While the postseason opponent is still being decided between Los Angeles and San Antonio, the Storm is gearing up to sale playoff tickets anyway. Sales begin Wednesday at 10 a.m. for Game 2 and 3 (if necessary) at KeyArena.
Seattle is seeded second, meaning it would travel for Game 1 and play at home for the final two possible matchups in the best-of-three opening-round series. The Storm is 9-12 all-time in the postseason.
Dates haven’t been set, but the playoffs begin Sept. 16 and Seattle could have a game on Sept. 18 or 19. Tickets start at $16 and can be purchased online at stormbasketball.com or by calling 1-877-WNBA-TIX.
The Storm is making their sixth-straight playoff appearance, getting booted in the opening round every year since winning the 2004 WNBA Championship. Three members of that team remain in a Storm uniform (PG Sue Bird, C Janell Burse and F Lauren Jackson). Only rookie Ashley Walker doesn’t have postseason experience and the 2009 Storm roster boasts four WNBA champions with five WNBA championships between them (Bird `04, Burse, ’04, F Swin Cash `03 and `06 and Jackson `04).Powered by Sidelines
