Since his arrival in New York, Anna Wintour has transformed Amar’e Stoudemire into a style icon. The Knicks baller and Vogue Editor-In-Chief have developed a very close relationship. He’s become her new front-row favorite during runway shows and he even appeared in the magazine’s April issue, a rare feat for a male athlete. It’s likely that Anna’s influence also led to the development of his upcoming women’s clothing line. But this weekend the tables were turned as Wintour got a taste of Amar’es world. She sat courtside at Madison Square Garden yesterday for Game 4 of the NBA playoffs.
So how does the Queen of fashion dress for a sporting event? The Knicks blue and orange color scheme is not the easiest combo to pull off, but Wintour’s take on fan gear was totally chic. She paired a striped skirt from Prada’s Spring collection with a creme colored sweater, some major bling and those signature dark shades (which she did not remove for most of the game).
Unfortunately the Knicks lost the series to the Celtics which means we’ll have to wait until next season to see more of her sideline style. Or at least until the U.S. Open. Wintour is often spotted at the tennis Grand Slam since shePowered by Sidelines
