Every year, we do this thing where we put up Christmas lights, light candles, have delicious smelling baked goods in the kitchen (okay, in my fantasy world we do) and bounce from party to party. Then we buy each other loads of great things and enjoy giving and getting them. This is all entirely a result of crappy weather and lack of daylight. Had the pagans been in Argentina back in the day, I am quite sure the “holidays” would’ve been celebrated right around June. I am a fan of the holidays, it at leasts lets me look forward to all the cool things I want to use when the weather gets better. Or things I can use now to better manage my suffering from daylight. So here is my list of great things I want this year and why.
iPod Shuffle, yes in pink
As my cute RED G2 Nano freezes on me from time to time, I figured I better ask for a new one this year. However, it was pointed out to me that I shouldn’t get a Nano, but rather a shuffle, which is far better for using while running since you can clip it to you. I agree, the smaller the better. But this doesn’t solve the problem of not having a primary iPod. So now I ask for another iPod.
iPod Touch You can play games on it. You can play movies on it. You can connect to the internet on it. Sold. I still need the shuffle for working out of course, this iPod is wider than my arm diameter. PowerTap I love my bike. It’s an awesome weapon of speed. However, I am sadly not. With all this “running” I’m doing, I’m not becoming a strong cyclist. Thus, in order to improve my power on the bike, I need proper training tools. Enter PowerTap. A grossly expensive tool that shows you how much power (in wattage) you generate while riding. The idea is that you will increase your wattage over time and keep it consistent, 200 watts avg for a 3 hour ride (again, my fantasy world). Come race day and I don’t look like an idiot riding such a fancy bike as I pass everyone that smoked me in the swim (everyone).
Since this is a Wish List, why not through it out there. I am hungry, more often than not. And sadly I hate grocery shopping. So when I get home, there aren’t many options – cereal, yogurt, frozen trader joes…I manage to burn things that require actually preparation (including frozen trader joes). I would love someone to buy all the great fresh groceries and then cook me a healthy meal that’s ready when I get home from working out. So really, I would like a trophy wife who knows how to cook. Shoot, scratch that.
A new Digital Camera
No particular kind, just a small one that works well and takes good pictures. My current model is about 4 years old and on it’s deathbed. Plus, camera is essential to taking photos of awesome races and posting on blog.Powered by Sidelines
