Parenting, whether your child is an athlete, musican, social butterfly, or just all around great kid, is tough – especially on the day to day level. So, I think you need a laugh today, but one that is mixed in with a good serving of reality, too.
First, from the parenting perspective, you have to see this classic by Anita Renfroe called a Mom’s Life in Two Minutes done to the William Tell Overture. She has put all the things Moms say over and over, day in and day out, together in a way that will leave you nodding your head and laughing to the point of tears at the same time.
Below that is the equally fabulous kid/teen’s response to the Mom Song video also done to the William Tell Overture by Vanessa Van Petten, author of On Youth and Teens today. (visit her site for the lyrics)
And the Kid’s Response:
What do you think? I think they both hit the nail on the head – from the point of view of what they have to say and the humor factor in the delivery.
Have a great day – because I said so.
