An atomweight and flyweight match have been added to Sept. 2′s Jackson’s MMA Series event, which will take place at the Hard Rock Casino in Albuquerque, NM.
Coming off her pro debut, Liz McCarthy (1-0) will look to make it two in a row against undefeated Jodie Esquibel (2-0) in an 105 bout.
McCarthy had come into her pro debut undefeated as an amateur, getting a TKO victory over Jess Philippus at InvictaFC 3 just a week ago. She is hoping another victory will secure her a spot in the atomweight rankings.
Esquibel has a solid kickboxing career, winning titles around the world. She defeated Amy Riehle at Jackson’s MMA Series 7 this past January.
At 125, Tuff-n-uff MMA vet Emily Peters-Kagan will be making her pro debut against fellow local fighter Lynae Lovato.
Kagan (4-2 ammy) has won her past two bouts at the Jackson’s MMA Series by decision while Lavato looks to even her record after a decision loss in her pro debut.
More female bouts could be announced in the coming weeks in the amateur divisions.
Jacksons MMA Series 9 will stream for $10 at the Jackson’s MMA Series website.
