US Women crush Jamaica 6-0 at CONCACAF U20 Women’s Championship

Everyone has their own idiosyncrasies when it comes to finding the simple joys in life. For instance, some people love watching sunsets, for others it may be little ice cream after dinner. I love turning on the t.v. and finding the US women’s national team in the heat of competition. It’s such a rare find that it just makes my heart go pitter-patter.

The U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying is underway in Guatemala City. The US trounced Jamaica 6-0 on Thursday and are currently in first place in Group B. Sydney Leroux scored 2 goals and had one assist. Christine Nairn scored 2 goals and Teresa Noyola and Tiffany McCarty scored one goal each. The US will be playing Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday and then Mexico on Sunday. Both games will be aired live on Fox Soccer Channel at 5:30pm EST.

If you don’t have FSC, CONCACAF will be streaming the games live from its website.
