Knockout artist Veronica Rothenhausler had to withdraw from InvictaFC 5 April 5th due to an injury. With Rothenhausler out, Mollie Estes will be moved to the main card taking on #4 Unified ranked featherweight Julia Budd, who was without an opponent since Fiona Muxlow stepped up to face Cyborg Santos last week.
Estes (1-1) is now in the biggest match of her life. With a win, she will crack into the top 10 and put herself into title contention. Estes is coming off a TKO loss to Olympic bronze medalist Randi Miller at InvictaFC 1. Estes had only lost once as an amateur.
Budd (4-2) is prime to be the next challenger for the InvictaFC 145 title after #1 Marloes Coenen and the winner of Mulow/Cyborg square off at InvictaFC 6 for the initial belt. Budd is coming off two wins at InvictaFC and is looking for win #3.
InvictaFC 5 will emanate from the Ameristar Casino in Kansas City, MO April 5. Tickets are still available at InvictaFC.com. If you can’t make it to Kansas City, you can watch on iPPV on UStream.com for $9.95. Pre-sales for the iPPV have opened for the event at InvictaFC.com.
