Adidas Adizero Adios. Light flats, but still some cushioning for the longer races or sessions. The weight is 200g/7.4oz in mens size 42/us8.5. The Adios is heavier and with a more solid heel than last years Adizero LT. But still far from a lightweight model. This is an excellent model for road races from 3km-marathon. Personally I will use it for interval sessions and steady longruns.
I actually saw many runners at London Marathon wearing them. Not that I was there – but watching on tv….
adiPRENE and adiPRENE+ cushioning make the shoes firm. Great with a firm forefoot. You don’t feel small rocks or studs even the shoes got a quite thin sole. The outer sole is covered with adiWEAR and Quickstrike. The Quickstrike is one of the best inventions for racing flats. You hardly slip on wet roads with that protection!
I used my Adios during a hill session tonight. Wasn’t really “adios” to Ingvill and Cecilie, but I felt pretty good. Hills are great as strenght workouts and preparing for the 800/1500.
