The big news yesterday was that Oscar Pistorius, the double amputee Paralympic star known as the “Blade Runner”, ran 45.07 to get under the IAAF ‘A’ qualifying mark for the World Championships as well as next year’s Olympics, and is expected to be selected for the South African team.
