Allisha Gray leaving North Carolina

North Carolina leading scorer Allisha Gray has decided to transfer, per multiple reports. Gray averaged 15.8 points and 7.6 rebounds this past season for the Tarheels.

This has been a tough off-season for the North Carolina women’s basketball program. First, they had to deal with the repercussions of the NCAA violations, and now, another member of the team is leaving. Allisha Gray is transferring from the program, per multiple reports.

Last month, talented point guard Jessica Washington decide to leave the program, as it was termed, “mutually decide to part ways.” This just leaves Stephanie Muvunga as the lone recruit from their ballyhooed 2013 class, as Diamond DeShields transferred last year.

Gray, arguably the best player on the team this past season, was a vital part in the Tarheels’ success. The explosive 6-foot lefthander averaged 15.8 points and 7.6 rebounds for the 2014-15 season.
