Winkler is a professional kitesurfer and entrepreneur.

Winkler saw kitesurfing for the first time in the early 2000s. She was in awe. Her husband told her she was not strong enough to compete in the sport. Seven years later, after her divorce, she decided to give kitesurfing a shot. In fact, she was strong enough.
Today, she is living in Mexico where she started a kitesurfing school. She is currently sponsored by Epic Kites, Heated Wetsuits, True Beauty, Jet Pilot, Steelmx, Gopro, Fuel Clothing and Heart & Huntington.
