 Lauren Perdue: Swimming

 Perdue is an Olympian and eight time All-American from Virginia.

Perdue competed for the Greenville (VA) Swim Club from 1998 until 2009. She won her first championship in 2009 at the USA Swimming Long Course Junior National Championships. 

She went on to the University of Virginia. During her time at Virginia, she won 17 ACC championships, received 8 All-American awards and was named ACC Swimmer of the Year and Swimmer of the Championships in 2010 and 2011. 

She was unable to compete in the 2012 NCAA championships because she had to undergo back surgery but was well enough to compete in the Olympic Trials. There, she placed fourth in the 200 freestyle. Although she missed qualifying individually, she qualified to be a part of the 4X200 freestyle relay at the Olympic Games in London.
