Krifchin attended JFK Bellmore High School in in Bellmore, New York. She went on to Syracuse University where she graduated with a BS in Health & Exercise Science in 2010. She went on to Ithaca College where she received her MS in Occupational Therapy degree in 2012.

Her talents were obvious from an early age. In 2006 she became a high school All-American. While at Syracuse, she became an ECAC Champion (2007). She took home the one mile ECAC title in 2010.

In 2011 she competed in the R&R Philadelphia Half. She finished the 13.1 mile course in 1:11:04, the third fastest U.S. women's debut time in history.

In 2012 she qualified for the USA Marathon Olympic Trials and finished 2nd in the USA Half Marathon Championships.
