Williams attended Western State College where she studied accounting and business administration. While there, she competed in cross country and track & field. Williams left her collegiate career a five-time NCAA DII national champion.She went on to work full-time as a CPA.

In 2011 she was part of Team USA at the Chiba Ekiden Relay in Japan. In 2012, she was a member of the U.S. BUPA Edinburgh International XC team. She focused on making the 2012, an Olympic year, her best yet. She qualified and placed 5th at the Olympic Trials in the 1500m.

Williams, who lives and trains in Colorado Springs, is part of the American Distance Project. She trains under Boulder Running Company/adidas and is sponsored by PowerBar. She not only logs up to 100 miles per week, she had continued to work full time. Watch the video below for more on her amazing juggling act!
