Meet Jamie Cheever - Pro Runner with Team USA Minnesota

Cheever attended the University of Minnesota. She began her collegiate career as a soccer player before turning over to track and field and cross country sophomore year. She held Gopher records in the mile, 3k and several distance/middle distance relays. She finished her collegiate career as a three-time All-American.

In 2011 she joined Team USA Minnesota where she continued to focus on the steeplechase. That year, Cheever ran 10:02.18 PB. She qualified for the 2012 Olympic Trials steeplechase finals where she finished 12th in 9:56.

At the 2013 Payton Jordan Invitational, Cheever set a new personal best time in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 9:29.13.

As of April 2013, Cheever runs for Team USA Minnesota and is sponsored by Brooks.
