Becky Hammon to coach Spurs’ summer league team

San Antonio Spurs assistant Becky Hammon will coach the Spurs’ summer league team, according to multiple reports.

The San Antonio Spurs continue to show why they are a first-class organization, as Becky Hammon will coach their summer league team, per multiple reports.

About a year ago, the Spurs hired Hammon to be an assistant coach with the team, which made Hammon the first woman to be named a full-time assistant in the NBA. Now, she will be the first ever to be the head coach of a summer league team in the NBA.

The Spurs and head coach Gregg Popovich are truly savants when it comes to on-court production, but they are even more brilliant, with the vision they have for doing things like this.
