Brittney Griner files an annulment to end marriage with Glory Johnson

Just days after Glory Johnson-Griner announced her pregnancy, Brittney Griner filed to annul her marriage to Johnson-Griner.

Phoenix Mercury star Brittney Griner has filed to have her marriage to Glory Johnson-Griner annulled, per multiple reports. Johnson-Griner announced just a day ago that she was pregnant via her Instagram account.

Here is Griner’s statement via ESPN’s Kate Fagan:

“Last Wednesday, Glory and I agreed to either legally separate, get divorced, or annul our marriage,” Griner said in a statement Friday. “I can confirm that today I filed for an annulment. In the week prior to the wedding, I attempted to postpone the wedding several times until I completed counseling, but I still went through with it. I now realize that was a mistake.”

Griner and Johnson-Griner were married for 28 days.
