Buzz on the way to WNBA season tipoff

In preparation for Saturday’s regular-season tipoff, the WNBA has season previews galore, as well as 20 things to know about the league’s 20th season.

Today’s preseason result:

The Sparks held off the Stars, 77-70.

Team news:

The Lynx are going for back-to-back championships this year.

The Mercury are shooting for their fourth title.
