How? They were an at-large selection.
Surprise? Predicted to finish fifteenth in the conference, they finished seventh, six games behind Notre Dame.
RPI: 38
SOS: 22
Record: 19-11 (9-7 ACC)
Good wins: North Carolina.
Bad losses: At Duquesne, by virtue of being their only regular-season loss to an opponent who received no ranking this season.
Who’s running this show? Suzie McConnell-Serio, since 2013, former point guard for the Cleveland Rockers.
Extra, Extra! The Post-Gazette and the Tribune.
