Wickenheiser International Women's Hockey Festival

This festival promises to be different than any international female tournament before!
Wickenheiser International Women's Hockey Festival is an event where young women can engage in world-class competition; make friends from around the world; improve their hockey skills and learn from one of the world's best - Hayley Wickenheiser - who will be involved in all aspects of the on and off-ice event for the duration.
Over the course of the festival over 700 players will come together to compete, learn, and connect.
Tentative Overall Weekend Schedule:
Players, parents and coashes should be aware that the tentative schedule for the weekend is:
Thursday evening - Opening Reception (Open to all players, parents and coaches)
Friday - Tournament Games + Off-ice Special Events & Workshops + Hockey Canada Individual Skills Camp (Atom/PeeWee Camp 1)
Saturday - Tournament Games + Off-ice Special Events & Workshops + Hockey Canada Individual Skills Camp (Atom/PeeWee Camp 2 and Bantam/Midget Camp 1)
Sunday - Tournament Games + Hockey Canada Individual Skills Camp (Bantam/Midget Camp 2) - Latest game start time at 5:15 p.m.
The festival will also include:
- Improve your game on and off the ice...Clinics and workshop topics will be delivered throughout the weekend featuring high-profile and world-renowned coaches, athletes and experts. Topics preliminarily include:
- Beyond the Minors - A look at what's next for young players both in and out of the game.
- Fuelling for Gold - An examination of the contributing factors for on and off-ice success including nutrition, rest and fitness.
- Hot Stove - A roundtable discussion featuring Hayley and some very special guests, to be announced soon.
- Parents as ‘Coaches' - A question and answer period with Tom and Marilyn Wickenheiser. (Parents only session)
- Coach's Clinic - Tips, tricks, suggestions and insights on coaching women delivered by high-level female coaching personalities, including gold-medal National Women's Team coach, Melody Davidson.
