As part of this event, the BATC and the Track and Field Athletes Association will be raising money for the BATC Kids Program. They have launched an IndieGoGo funding site seeking donations and sponsorships to support BATC Kids, a new athletic program designed to get kids outside and active after school. The program is open to all ages and skill levels, and its mission is to inspire kids to develop a healthy body and mind. Local Olympians and Olympic hopefuls work with the kids to improve skills such as speed, agility, coordination, strength, and flexibility, all while having plenty of fun.
Their goal is to raise $10,000. Please e-mail, Facebook, Tweet and otherwise share this link to spread the word:

The BATC was founded in 2009 by elite athletes in the Bay Area in order to provide support for Olympic athletes and emerging elites and to promote running and lifelong fitness within the community.
