San Antonio Stars head coach Dan Hughes suffered a lower back injury in Wednesday’s contest. Hughes won’t miss any games on the sideline, the team announced tonight.

In the San Antonio Stars’ loss on Wednesday, head coach Dan Hughes left the game with an injury. It was later diagnosed as a lower back injury, but he won’t miss any games, according the Stars.

Here is their statement:

Stars head coach and general manager Dan Hughes left tonight’s game against the Washington Mystics in the second quarter after being involved in a collision on the sidelines. He was transported to MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. Hughes suffered a lower back injury. He will return home with the team tomorrow and is expected to be on the sidelines on Saturday, Aug. 8 at the Freeman Coliseum when the Stars host the Seattle Storm.
