UConn Dominates Big East Preseason Awards

In what can only be described as the least surprising pre-season news of all the conference gatherings, the Connecticut Huskies are pre-season favorites to win the Big East Conference. Furthering the "ho hum" announcements was Maya Moore being named pre-season player of the year. And just to make it unanimous, point guard Bria Hartley of the Huskies has been named pre-season freshman of the year.

Joining Moore on the All Big East team are unanimous selections Skylar Diggins (Notre Dame), Tiffany Hayes (Connecticut) and Sugar Rodgers (Georgetown), as well as Keisha Hampton (DePaul), Sarah Miles and Liz Repella (West Virgiinia), Monique Reid (Louisville), Angel Robinson (Marquette), and De'Shena Stevens and Shenneika Smith (St. John's).
