Universal Sports continues its extensive Diamond League Track & Field coverage this week with the ExxonMobil Bislett Games from Oslo, Norway on Thursday, June 9, at 8:00 p.m. ET. The Bislett Games will be the fifth meet of the 2011 IAAF Samsung Diamond League Season. The network’s digital outlet, Universalsports.com, will stream LIVE coverage of the event beginning at 2 p.m. ET from Oslo on a subscription basis, including replays, highlights and analysis. To access and subscribe to this content available on-demand, visit universalsports.com.

Universal Sports will also introduce a new social media webisode called “Cool Down." This week’s segment will feature Universal Sports commentator and Olympic medalist Ato Boldon, who will be answering any Track & Field questions from fans at the conclusion of the Diamond League-Oslo event. Fans can send in their questions via twitter, facebook or e-mail them to [email protected]. This segment will take place around 10:15 p.m. ET on the network’s Facebook page at facebook.com/universalsports.

Oslo will be missing some notable American stars due to the fact that New York is hosting a Diamond League meet on Saturday, as well as the fact that the USATF Championships are just over two weeks away. However, we will still see New York Athletic Club's Jillian Camarena-Williams in the shot put after setting a personal best last week and former NCAA superstar Queen Harrison in the 400m hurdles.

We will also see Amantle Montsho of Botswana in the 400m just days after upsetting Allyson Felix in the event at the Pre Classic. Caster Semenya will be competing in the 800m, and I hope she gets paid well with all the media hype and controversy she has had to deal with.

The meet will also feature a Grete Waitz Memorial 5K, headlined by former world record holder Meseret Defar. Grete Waitz was a marathon legend and pioneer who lost her battle to cancer in April at age 57.

Olympic Gold Medalist Usain Bolt will run the 200 meters for the first time in 2011 at the Bislett Games.
